This handcrafted jewelry rustic style storage box or wood valet is made out of hard to find, Northern California Redwood in our little father and daughter woodshop. Our boxes can be used for anything you'd like: jewelry, candy, money, knick knacks, or as a fun conversation piece. You may notice this particular piece has some "bright spots" on the lid that look kind of like waves. This is known as "curly wood," a unique occurrence that is more rare in redwood pieces. This piece does have some unique character such as little dings, white marks, etc. Some would see these as flaws while others view this as rustic charm so please be sure to see all photos. Exterior Dimensions with lid on is approximately 9" at longest point x 4" at widest point and about 3" thick. Inner Area Dimensions are approximately 7.75" at longest point x 2.75" at widest point by about 1.875" deep.
The finish applied to our jewelry boxes is a clear finish which helps protect the wood from bumps and bruises and helps the natural wood colors really shine through. No dyes or stains have been used.
Please note that our boxes are rustic. And what some might see as a flaw, others see as unique character. Please be sure to look at all photos.
We get asked regularly if we can custom engrave a unique one of a kind box that is already listed (like this one), and unfortunately, we cannot. "Finished boxes" such as this one can't be custom engraved due to how strong our finish is.
